TDC30P Will Not Heat?
I have inherited a Hotpoint Aquarius TDC30P that will not heat, the previous owner replaced one of the two thermal cut outs but the unit still would not heat. I have purchased a new set of thermal cut outs and replaced both, the dryer still does not heat. I read in another forum it can be caused by the timer so purchased a new one and fitted it. The dryer still will not heat. The elements are good and pass a continuity test but do not heat. I have performed a continuity test on the thermal cut outs and find the 130 Deg C One shot with green spot does not conduct across the terminals the other 106 Deg Does. I have 240 V either side of the 130 Deg cut out. The dryer tumbles correctly with the drying light coming on and going off and the drum rotating backwards and forwards as normal. I get clean filter light when the door is open and the empty water lights correctly if I manually lift the float.
Does anyone know if the green spot cut out should conductor or not ? If it should does anyone know what may cause it to blow three of these. If the cutout is correct what else would stop the elements working correctly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
