The forward drive belt has snaped on my norlett rotavator does any one know where i can get a replacement please

Hi Liz.
I've just been given a Norlett 4500 by a friend.
It too needs a new drive belt ... did you have any luck finding one ?

You can try E-bay. I purchased one earlier in the year as a spare. See item numbers below

I have problems getting parts for these, but if you have the old belt, take it to a branch of J H Fenner (power transmissions) and they'll sort you a replacement. They are part of the WYKO group.
