my sewing machine isn't picking up the thread from the bobin?
I have a singer model 6412 and it isn't picking up the thread from the bobbin. I have it threaded correctly and the bobbin is put in the right way too. I do not have a manual as this machine was given to me. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Before you think about retiming, try changing the needle - sometimes a bent needle will prevent the bobbin thread being picked up.

it needs to be retimed. not easy to fix..take it to someone and have them look at it

Your machine will need retiming, if you email me I will attach instructions but you will have to get my email address on any answer from page 25 down because this site no longer allows email addresses to be shown.
