how can get the passengers door open?

open the door and look at the lock mecanism on the door itself. There may be a button or lever near the lock. It could be the child lock is activated.
My vectra rear doors have a circular (about 8mm round) button with a slot in it, near the lock mechanism. You can use your car key to turn it, This engages or dis-engages the child lock.

It may be completely different on the Laguna, but maybe it wil point you in the right direction.

take off the door panel and make sure nothing has snapped or fallen off, if nothing has best to replace the all of it.
