windows not working on 04 megane 5 door 1.9 diesel?

if the battery was removed and replaced would this effect my 4 door windows from operating,i just bough the car from an auction and i think the battery has been replaced,

These have an on going problem with regulators and Renault can`t seem to get to the bottom of the problem. It may be worth enquiring at a dealership whether any warranty on these is available. That is if it is your fault.
