Mend Tedelex TE0218 Unit Start Times

How can I fix my Tedelex TE0218- 250Gb?

My unit will start with a noise as if gears are jumping
and then it shuts down. If you start it several times it will finerly come on and stay on. Once you get it to stay on it works perfact.
