how to cure 'paper jam' on HP 6110 printer?

my printer display says 'paper jam'. I have cleared the jam and gone through the online reset instructions( both part and full system reset) as it appears on the HP website but this is not resetting the printer. It still displays 'paper jam, clear and reset' Any ideas please
