how can i fix my string on my tecumseh lawn mower?

the pull string broke and i cant figure out how to but the string back in cuze theres no way for me to wrap it or ie a knot

Tecumseh starters are easy to fix, but there are at LEAST 5 different versions. Is yours vertical pull, or horizontal pull? How is it attached - 4 bolts, or 2 small screws?
