Mend Kitchen Bathroom Light

How can i fix my Kitchen & Bathroom light?

Hi i moved into a new property and change the light in the kitchen and now everythime you turn the kitchen light on you cant put the bathroom light on at the same time.
You can only have one or the other on.

The bathroom is on the same level as the kitchen.

Help please

SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE MADE IT TWO WAY LIKE A LIGHT SWITCH TOP AND BOTTOM OF A STAIRCASE !, you need to make sure you have live pair at both room switches , sounds like the switches are sharing a live .rather than there own.
