Mend Diplomat APL 1316 Ring Hob Heat

Diplomat APL 1316 - Dual ring problem?

I have a Diplomat APL 1316 Ceramic Hob. The problem is the dual 'ring' - once it gets up to heat, just keeps switching on and off constantly making it impossible to cook on.
