Mend Tricity Bendix Town and Country Cooker Oven Electric

How can I stop the ring on the hob staying on in full?

the front right ring on my tricity bendix town and country double oven hob stays on full heat as soon as we turn the cooker on, it doesn't change even when we use the knob to adjust can anyone help please?
