my drivers side window wiper blade is not working?

Hi my wiper on my 206 (2004 model) is not working but my passenger side is

any ideas

yes, under the scuttle panel where the wiper arm spindles come through there is a wiper mechanism. The two wipers are linked by this and i think the link has broken.
