One evening, the TV just shut off all by itself. When I tried to turn it back on by pushing the power button, the little green timer light to the left of the power button lights up with a click for only a few seconds and immediately shuts down. I've tried recycling the set by unplugging it, tried powering it on with the remote with the same consequences, and tried vacuuming out the insides and look for obvious causes; arcs, fried wires etc with no success. Please help. TY DK
i took out the circuit board and it was a blown up capacitor (472J 1.6KV) its a brown rectangular one by further behind the hvb. it costs 2+shipping on mcmelectronics.com Part #: 181-131U. have fun reattaching all the wires at the end;)
