Mend Mitsubishi 62" Projection Tv

My television changes formats while I am watching it?

I have a 62" Mitsubishi rear projection tv and it is changing the format on the screen while I am watching it. The tv changes from standard format to expanded format, I also have an orange continuous light on the front so I am aware that the bulb needs to be changed again, but is this what is causing the formats to be changed?

I need you to do a hard reset. First unplug your tv then hold power button on tv for 60 seconds. Let tv sit for 10 minutes then plug in and turn on. Good Luck
