Mend Volkswagen Golf VR6 Drivers Door

vw golf vr6?

The drivers door on my Golf has dropped....tried resetting the little grub screws on the hinges and a few other things to no avail.....is it inside the actual door in need to be looking?
This is now doing me because the plush suction sound of the door shutting is now a bang....any help or idea`s i will be grateful...thanx
