Pfaff 145?

Can anyone give me instructions on how to set timing on Pfaff sewing machine? The thread keeps getting knotted around the bobbin case.

remove the cover from the timing gears from under the sewing machine. remove the plate from around the feed dog. lower the needle bar as low as it will go the measure up 3/16ths inch. Block with a small clamp. loosen the screws on the under side of the hook shaft and turn the hook to center the needle. tighten screws on shaft and put back together. done
