Mend Toshiba RD-XV48DTKB Cassette Recorder

fault with Toshiba HDD&DVD/VIDEO CASSETTE RECORDER?

My Toshiba RD-XV48DTKB,will not stay switched on.I press the standby button,and it stays on for a few seconds,then switches off.Its about 6 months old and has gone well up to now.
