How do I repair my Epson Stylus Photo RX425?

My Epson RX425 has suddenly stopped working. the On/Ink lighton/and other other lights and an "E" in the LED window are flashing for no apparrant reason. Hand book says a part needs replacing!! or errors are occuring in parts of the product.
Where do I start?
