The newer back boiler range of Baxis fitted a type of Flame sensor pipe from the pilot upwardly into the heat exchanger.These have a breather hole where gas/air mix.You tend to find this hole gets blocked with fluff hence reducing pilot size and making the boiler shut off.If you havent had it serviced for a while it may pay to get it done and that can be looked at whilst it is in pieces.
