when i slow down i.e when approaching junctions or traffic lights the rev's go completly down then the car cuts out ..... usually if i brake then accelerate then brake again it prevent it happening as often ..... what could this be ?
it's a VW Golf Gti N reg petrol nothing been done to it recently and using normal unleaded petrol

have a diognostic's check on the car or it could just be the idle sensor? but not sure

A bit more info would help. What car is it? petrol or diesel? how old? Anything been done to it recently or filled up at a different fuel station to usual? Anything else different to normal?
