why has my steering gone light?

my rover 216 steering has gone excessively light,what could the problem be?

Rover Rover 216 Vehicles, Cars Light Rover Problem

YOUR POWER STEERING PUMP MAY HAVE LOST IT,S ABILITY TO REGULATE IT'S PRESSURE OUTPUT .

THIS MEANS THAT AT ALL SPEEDS IT WILL FEEL LIGHT.THE RACK WILL BE GETTING TO MUCH PRESSURE.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE POWER STEERING TAKE YOU CAR TO A TYRE SHOP AND ASK TO HAVE THE TRACKING RE-SET
