Mend Rover 75 Engine Fault

rover 75 technical/mechanical fault?

Hi My rover 75 has developed a problem where the check the engine light keeps coming on flashing then the solid engine sign comes up. Has been to 4 garages and they can't find the fault. At the moment the car is at the rover garage and they are still struggling to find the fault. Has anyone any ideas of what is causing this. the garage now say that the computer is at fault

I assume that they have used a code reader. Normally that would give an indication of the fault, But if no fault code, yes it could be the computer. Expensive. If no other problems, you could live with it, problem then if a fault does occur. But, usually get other symptoms as well.
