This is probably a job for a qualified sparks, It sounds like there should be a brown wire there too as there is a blue and green/yellow. though this may be off to a switch in which case the blue is not a neutral but a live switch wire!
I could suggest that you watch very closely which wire is with which, you dont necessarily want to bunch all the blacks with blacks and reds with reds. if you get them confused youll pop fuses and then really need a sparks to sort it out who may well be a bit grumpy that you messed it up as its a bit messy to sort out if it all gets confused.
maybe this time just take the hit.

be very careful about live wires when working, lighting wiring carries the same volts as sockets and there may be enough current to kill you.
