Mend Ford 350 Fuel Filter Transit

x reg transit wont start think its fuel problem?

recently put a new fuel filter on 2000 transit 350 and now wont start .looks like it has air in as you turn it over for 5 mins and then finnaly starts up as if fuel is draining back to tank .any body ideas

Ford Ford 350 Vehicles, Vans Fuel Filter Transit

sounds like filter not fitted correctly. check that the filter is located on lugs in housing correctly if so securing ring should be able to turn quite free to lock it on,think there is an arrow on filter head that aligns with one on filter. also helps if you fill with clean diesel before fitting!
