Ford transit t350 90 2004?

If the filter looks old it may be worth removing and drain into a clear jar,let it settle and check for water/dirt,have had a few of these half full of water causing symptoms like you say,if in doubt just replace,also know a guy at the local dealers who say they have a lot of problems with after market filters and said always fit a genuine ford filter if at all possible,good luck.
