how can i fix my ariston lsv 66 uk dishwasher?

My ariston lsv 66 uk dishwasher will not start washing cycle. It makes the pumping noise as it normally does at the start of the cycle but will not go any further than that. I have tried all the washing cycles but the same thing happens. Any advice on this?

Yep, mine to, I'm told that it's had it and the base of the dishwasher is full of water and it's because the seals have gone :-(

After the pumping out sound stops, you should get water coming in. If no water comes in it will not start washing. So, do you hear the water coming in? If not then look for a reason. Is tap turned on? Is there a blockage in the inlet hose filter? If water does come in & then stops when full but motor doesn't start then problem is probably with the motor.
