Mend Renault Megane Car Alarm Work

how does a car alarm work?

i have a renault megane 2005 model. i am wanting to disconnect the alarm, any idea's how to do it? alarm keeps going off and renault want £85 just to look at it. it is a 1.5 deisel if thats any help to anyone who can help
