Mend Kenmore 80 series Coupler Washer

How do I get the back off my Kenmore 80 series washer?

I need to replace the coupler on my Kenmore series 80 washer. I have the washer pulled out, but I'm not sure how to remove the back to get to the parts. HELP!

Hello,

If you have a direct drive washer, the back does not come off. The whole cabinet (front, sides and top) will come off in one piece and you access the coupler from the front. Read page 41 and the "kenmore 80 series how to take top off" thread for instruction on how to remove the cabinet. Hope this helps you.
