how to thread a montgomery wards sewing machine model j1947?

Hello Betty,
From the reel pin take the thread to the left and round the top guide that is above the tension dial, go straight down through the tension dial making sure the presser foot is up first, round the right hand side of the large chrome guide and back up to the takeup lever making sure the lever is at the top, through the takeup lever right to left and then follow the guides all the way down to the needle, thread front to back, flat side of the needle facing back.
