Simpson 750 esprit fills AND pumps out continuously?

I own a Simpson Esprit 750
"22S750" with approximately 10 years on the clock. just recently the gremlins have been struggling with the functions. The pump gremlins occasionally pump all the water out that the filling valve gremlins are trying to put in.

so the problem is that it just sits there pumping water out all weekend, all night, and all day!

costing me a fortune if I have to do a Brisbane City Council Water Audit just because of that!

I will investigate and report if I am not electricuted first
(just kidding) all suggestions welcome.

Any real repairers out there or just tinkerers like me!

What do you mean by the syphon hose? It will have a drain hose from the pump to the sink waste. Does it also have a second hose for a suds save feature. Some Simpson models do. Anyway one or two hoses are the same in that the hose must come up to a level equal to the top of the drum in the machine before going down to any drain outlet. This is to stop the pressure of the water level pushing the water down the drain & starting a syphoning affect.

Hi I am safe and sound and have not been subjected to the path of least resistance.

(that is why activists can't get electrocuted, try it!)

I think the syphon hose, which incidentally is 20 metres long has been syphoning the water through on it's own without the pump running, any thoughts on this anyone?

I took the siphon hose off the overflow hose and it is now filling up, but will use with caution because my cats can still get into the back of the washing machine now.

I hope the cats do not get electro.............MEYOOOOOOOW......cuted.
