Mend Phillips Hd Lcd Help

HD LCD Phillips TV Left Speaker Died?

Could someone help please?
Around about a year ago my TV suddenly was subject to a massive amount of interferance, don't know what caused, and the sound just died, I then turned the TV off and upon it turning back on again the speaker on the left is dead...
What could of caused the Speaker to die? It happened less than a few months of owning..

Right speaker works fine

What could of caused the Speaker to die?

Speaker itself dead (unusual failure)
Open circuit to speaker (loose wire) easy to solve
Electronic component failed in circuit specific to that speaker. (quite possible but need skills to diagnose)
