how can i boost the signal for ?

can any body help me i want to know if there is a way to boost the signal for my 42" HD LCD (tosh) i get a very bad and some times unwatchable picture i am in Scotland aberdeen ? many thanks

I could not get a picture on 5 and the engineer tried everything but was in a blind spot so he suggested I get a booster. It plugs direct into the mains and I plug the ariel into it---perfect now.
