Stuck on standby?

My Sansui HD LCD TV model SV4251LCD is stuck on standby. I have tried to switch the main power on and off - still does not work - tried manualy using the power button on the sideof the tv still does not come on as well as removing the batteries from the remote and getting the tv to work manualy and still does not work.I was quoted a lot to fix - is there possibly for me to open and replace or fix the tv myself with your help.
