MY PS2 WON'T POWER ON?

I TRIED OPENING IT AND LOOKED IN SIDE EVERYTHING LOOKS IN ORDER. BUT WHEN I PLUG MY SYSTEM IN AND HIT THE MAIN POWER SWITCH,THE RED LIGHT WON'T COME ON AND IT WON'T PLAY. HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!
