How do I fix my Sony PlayStation 3 console?

Bill - With the red light on, press and hold the power button for 3 beeps then take your finger off the button.
Then press and hold again, after a 2 beeps, you will get a quick 2 beeps. Take your hands off and you will be taken to a hidden playstation menu.
Go to option 3 and if should check for corrupt files (which could have be caused by the shutdown)


Solit - Sounds like your blu ray lens has broken. You can try the same as above to see if any files are causing it, but it may not solve it.

**Make sure you backup any saved game files, as you could potentially lose any**

Ps3 wont read any disc i put in, just shows nothing inserted.
