The lights at one end of the house and the bathroom fan have stopped working properly. There does seem to be some power getting to a couple of the lights but it is not enough to fully power them as they only flicker. If you then put on another switch even the flickering ones go off completly. The rest of the house is fine.
Also I would make sure that you get that fan on a seperate circuit from the lights as it is too powerfull for the 6 amp light circuit.
A real sparky
October 2008
A bad (slightly loose) connection in the lighting circuit has sparked and blackened causing a high resistance. Some voltage is being dropped across this bad connection and it will no doubt be getting warm. With the voltage drop at the bad joint any lamps downstream of the bad connection will not be seeing the full mains voltage and will be running on less than full power - hence the dimming.
Call an electrician.

You appear to have a high resistance somewhere causing a voltage drop.
If you do not understand the above get an electrician.
I would do it quickly as that is potential fire risk.
