Mend Kenmore 110.92273100 Washer Valve Hot Water

Hot water won't fill the tub?

I have a 70 series Kenmore 110.92273100 washer.
The hot water will not fill the tub. It drips into the tub. Cold water works.
Is this a water mixing valve problem? Also, I have to turn off the hot water at the faucet or it contunues to drip.

the valve, when de-energised, will fail to allow the plunger to return to its normal resting/closed position. this ploblem will cause severe overfill and flooding. best thing is to renew the hot water valve (energized valve) and is not a big job to do...!
