Mend Indesit WD10 Water Machine Start

How can I fix my Indesit WD10 washer dryer?

No hot water is entering the machine at the start (I have taken off the pipe and there are no blockages) Only cold water goes in. The machine doesn`t heat the water either and it goes through the full wash cycle.I have been told that the machine will not go through the cycle without the water being heated,but I can assure you it does. What should I be checking for? water valve,thermostat or heat element or some kind of control unit somewhere.Can somebody please help steer me in the right direction.

It does'nt take in hot water on the initial fill, it only takes hot water on washes 2 & 3 after the clothes have soaked up the first fill ( which is in 2 stages ) You must have you water temp set as well, if you leave it on the star setting it will wash in cold water.
It will only wash in hot water, all the rinse are in cold & yes you were told correctly if its not heating it will NOT complete the wash.
