Mend Washing Machine Clothes Advice

How can I remove rust coloured stains?

Every time I wash my clothes I get a copper (rust) coloured mark on them. Please can somebody advise how I stop the washing machine from doing this. It is only 15 x months old!!! Any help would be really appreciated
