Mend Bosch Logixx 1400 Washing Brushes

Removing motor on Bosch Logixx 1400 washing machine?

I need to replace carbon brushes, have removed two long retaining screws for motor, then removed belt, then assumed motor would slide out from rear mounting lugs. But it seems completely solid. Any advice please? Thanks so much (houseful of people to wash clothes for!)
