HI! I HAVE GOT A STORAGE HEATER CREDA 79045 B.THE THERMAL FUSE LINK HAS BLOWN AND I NEED TO KNOW IF I COULD REPLACE IT WITH ANY OTHER TYPE OF FUSE ,NORMAL FUSE OR ANYTHING ELSE( NOT THE RIGHT ONE THEY ARE VERY EXPENSIVE).LOOKS LIKE IT WORKS WITH JUST A LONG SCREW BETWEEN TERMINALS I DO NOT NOW HOW LONG WILL LAST.MANY THANX.
The thermal fuses are there to prevent overheating and are designed to melt at a given temperature, so yes a screw would compleat the circuit and the heater would work but the original fuse melted for a reason (it could be you covered the vent grill with a towel or something?) but it did its job and to replace it with anything else is dangerous. Hope this info helps
