Mend Working Side Door

outside lights not working?

i have two outside lights, one on each side of the garage door. I took them off and spray painted them, taping the senor part so i didn't get paint on them. when i put them back up they didn't work. how can i check the lights or the wiring that goes to the lights. the lights are on a double switch plate. any ideas what is wrong?

Have the live and neutral wires been put back as they were on the lamps? If live and neutral are reversed the PIR wont 'power up'. Also are the lamps, being outside, on their own breaker/fuse. If so has this tripped/blown when removing or refitting
