You will obviously need to put it in engineers to stop the tamper circuit activating, or put your code in when you remove the old contact ( I assume you mean replace a old one).
Then wire it as the old one. The ( Again assuming a standard flush contact) silver screws being the "switch" and the brass ones for holding the tamper pair. ( Only use one). Unless of course it is EOL and has resistors. In that case take a picture of the way they are fitted.
If adding a new one, look how the old is fitted and copy that. Then programme a new zone as required. NA Normal Alarm, FE Final Exit, ER Entry Route ect.
