How do you adjust a craftsman riding mower to cut higher?

On some models, you can re-mount the deck on the hangers using a different set of holes. If not, you're stuck with the max height it was designed for.

For side discharge models, they can usually cope with grass over a foot long assuming you are NOT trying to collect the grass.

Rear discharge models are not designed for rough cutting. At your own risk, you could defeat the 'bag on' saftey switch and go SLOWLY. Bear in mind that objects can be ejected at close to 200MPH, so keep bystanders well clear.
