Mend Husqvarna 917288346 Clutch Craftsman Riding Mower

how to adjust drive clutch it chatters going uphill ?

I have a 2009 craftsman riding mower made by husqvarna with 26 hp koehler mtr on it the drive clutch chatters and slips under a load going up hill is it adjustable and how do i do it? it has a pedal on floor board to engage drive u push with foot

The clutch is just an idler pulley which tentions the belt via a spring, there is no real adjustment, firstly change the belt, check there is adiquate tention on the belt when the clutch pedal is released, check the brake is not binding in the gearbox, if it is a hydostatic box check the by pass lever is fully in, if all else fails it could be an issue in the box itself.
