on some,i find it easyier to remove the injectors.to make access better i remove the hard lines anyway.cars like the 1.8 fords can be awkward to get to the glow plug behind the inj pump.(big hands)so ,with the injectors out all u have to do is turn the ign till glow light is on and then look down all 4 inj holes.if they are working they glow red hot,if not then no glow.the alternative is to remove all glow plugs and test connect them to a battery on the bench.
