Mend Indesit w143 Machine Clicking Starts

Indesit w143 washing machine selector timer clicking?

The machine gets near the end of it's cycle then the selector starts clicking around by itself with the power light flashing five times at ten second intervals. Does anyone know what the five flashes signify.
