Mend Kenmore Progressive Upright Vacuum Cleaner Cover

How can I fix my Kenmore Progressive Upright vacuum cleaner?

I've successfully removed the large plastic cover over the bulb, but I can't seem to actually remove the bulb. There seems to be some mysterious trick to being able to pull out the bulb to replace it. Can you help?

you don't pull it out,you turn the bulb counter clockwise first,there are little notches that"lock-in "the bulb,&once you've cleared these built in"notches",then one may "pull-out"the bulb.
