Mend Kenmore 1163269290c Vacuum Motor Screws

how do i remove cover on kenmore 1163269290c vacuum cleaner?

I'm attempting to remove the cover on my Kenmore to access the motor compartment. There aren't any screws holding it on and I can only find two tabs that when displaced don't allow the cover to come off. Any idea what else is holding it on?

I have a Dirt Devil Mod # 082750ca bagless vacuum and would like to remove the top plastic cover. I have removed all the obvious screws but I still cant remove the cover to get at the motor. any help would be great

First pull out the dust bag housing cover by the hinges where 2 screws will be exposed. 2 more screws are located under the on and off toggle switch handle. Ply it off with a screw driver. Remove all 4 screws and the can be easily removed. Hope this helps and good luck.
