Mend Smeg Heats Pump Water

Dishwasher fills and heats but will not wash?

Our Smeg Dishwasher fills then heats but does not pump the water round, we have checked the pump and that is free but the motor is getting hot, tried emailing Smeg but they just suggested calling out their Engineer which will probably cost as much as a new machine
